- ➤ Norfolk International Airport reported that over 487,000 passengers flew through in August—a 1.2% increase from last August—with Allegiant and Frontier showing jumps of 56% and 57% respectively. WAVY

- ➤ Sandy Bottom Nature Park has been awarded a grant of more than $136,000 from the Virginia Department of Conservation and Recreation’s Recreational Trails Program to fund trail improvements and boost accessibility — the City of Hampton noted 11 other areas also received similar grants in 2025. - ➤ Hampton Roads Transit is hosting career fairs starting Monday the 22nd in Norfolk from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to recruit bus drivers amid a nationwide shortage, and the agency is using bus driver simulation training to prepare operators for challenges like rain, snow, and equipment failures—helping them learn before hitting the road.
