- ➤ Free orange microchip scanning stations from nonprofit Reunite Tonight are available at the Virginia Beach SPCA and Chesapeake Humane Society, letting anyone who finds a lost pet scan its chip with their phone and search a registry. - ➤ Today on World Hunger Day, the Foodbank of Southeastern Virginia and the Eastern Shore highlighted its partnership with Perdue Farms donating protein for over one million meals annually — the food is distributed to more than 230 agencies, including First Baptist South Hill in Chesapeake, to meet growing local needs. - ➤ Portsmouth entrepreneur Da'Mond Law expanded his Stylez and Kutz School of Barbering and Cosmetology into a larger facility at 3328 Victory Boulevard this month, increasing class capacity from eight to about 20.
