  • A woman was stabbed Thursday morning on Shell Road and taken to a local hospital, where her injuries are not life-threatening—police are investigating the incident as a possible domestic dispute.  WAVY

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • On Wednesday, Virginia lawmakers rejected most of Governor Youngkin’s proposed budget changes (including his plan to cut school staff funding) and approved bipartisan measures to reduce probation times and toughen penalties for risky driving. They also backed support for small businesses and improved driver communication for people with autism while dropping other proposed amendments on education and reproductive health.  WHRO Public Media

  • New data shows pending home sales in Hampton Roads dropped by 14.2% last March—one of the sharpest declines in the nation—as federal workers faced job uncertainty.
