- ➤ A Yorktown sailor pleaded guilty to dereliction of duty for his role in a fatal boating accident that killed another sailor during a training exercise on April 28—he was sentenced to 70 days confinement at the Navy’s Chesapeake brig. WAVY
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ VDOT is asking for community feedback to improve the Power Plant Parkway, Briarfield Road and West Queen Street intersection that sees up to 20,000 vehicles daily. The survey asks local drivers about safety, speeding and congestion—no project schedule or budget has been set yet. 13 News Now
