- ➤ Nonprofit Hampton Roads Jazz Inc.—founded by jazz drummer and educator Jae Sinnett—seeks to revive live jazz and music education in all seven regional cities through intimate concerts and youth masterclasses. The program uses a $4,900 grant and partners with local music schools—such as Alpha School of Music and Revolution Rock Music School—to build technical skills for livestreaming and event production. - ➤ Scientists with Gray Fish Tag Research tracked a tagged Atlantic striped bass that swam from New Jersey to Nantucket and then turned west near Rhode Island—showing a migration pattern farther offshore than expected.
