The Virginia Board of Education approved new graduation rules and course options that give students more ways to earn credits, including for history and Economics and Personal Finance — the changes went into effect this school year and benefit AP, IB, and transfer students.
School divisions will receive clearer guidance on using seat-time flexibility to help students complete alternative learning paths.
