- ➤ The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is asking anyone with information on a sunken sailboat to call 757-893-2960. The boat was located in Chesapeake Bay near Thimble Shoals Channel and Buckroe Beach and was inspected by divers who confirmed it does not have a state registration or name — a wreck buoy is in place to warn boaters.
