  • Hampton police investigated a fatal shooting from Saturday afternoon at King Food Mart on North King Street—police reported the victim had been involved in a fight before the suspect shot him and fled.  WTKR
  • Hampton police arrested 31-year-old Davon Lewis and 57-year-old Don Mann in connection with the March homicide of Henry Jordan Jr. — who was reported missing and later found deceased on the 2400 block of West Weaver Road between midnight and 2 a.m. on March 11 — with Lewis facing charges including second-degree murder and Mann charged with illegally disposing of a body and tampering with evidence.  13 News Now
  • The FBI warned that older people may be tricked by scammers after Virginia was ranked 11th in fraud losses in 2024 with 147,127 complaints and $4.885 billion lost—officials advised checking contacts carefully before giving personal information today on World Elder Abuse Awareness Day.  WAVY
