Good morning, Hampton.

A vehicle fire on I-64 in Hampton on Saturday caused delays as emergency crews closed the westbound left lane and shoulder near mile marker 261.7 — drivers were advised to take alternate routes.

Hampton Fire & Rescue is offering free smoke alarms to help protect homes from fire—firefighters will install or replace batteries for any resident who requests the service.

The program gives homes a working alarm to alert residents immediately in an emergency.
