Officials in Hampton are urging residents to conserve water as Newport News Waterworks issued a Stage II Drought Water Advisory due to low rainfall, reduced streamflow and reservoir storage.
Residents should water lawns and landscaping from 8 p.m. to 10 a.m. and run full dishwasher and washing machine loads.
