Foodbank of Southeastern Virginia and the Eastern Shore will launch its Hunger Heroes initiative this summer & hold 18 food distributions in Hampton Roads to serve up to 50 families at each event amid federal funding cuts and local support.

A work truck at the BMX track on Little Back River Road was vandalized—its windshield, windows, mirrors, tailgate, and headlights damaged—stopping the nonprofit from properly preparing the track for weekly riders, according to president Andrew Gibler.
