  • Port of Virginia CEO Stephen Edwards said the port is in a strong position to handle new tariffs from China because only 19% of its business comes from China and ongoing upgrades boost its capacity.   • Henrico County authorities are searching for Gerard Anthony Harvell— a 48-year-old man with black hair, brown eyes, and a build of 6-foot tall weighing about 190 lbs who left his home in the 2700 block of Byron Street on April 29 at 10 a.m. in a gray 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee and was last heard from at 1 p.m., as he may be headed to Hampton Roads.  13 News Now

  • Little Theatre of Norfolk opens Tony Award-winning musical 'Memphis' today to show the story of a DJ who broke color barriers on the radio in the 1950s in segregated Memphis.   • Yesterday, the Hampton Division of Fire and Rescue launched the CARES Team in partnership with the Hampton-Newport News Community Services Board and Sentara Health to help non-violent individuals in mental health crises—its pilot program pairs a behavioral health clinician with an emergency medical responder to reduce police involvement and connect people with care.  City of Hampton
