  • Cirro Global — known as US Elogistics Service Corp — signed a lease for 149,685 square feet at the new Phenix Commerce Center at 30 Aberdeen Road on May 1. The deal is the largest warehouse lease in the region in over a year and shows Hampton’s strong connection to the Port of Virginia.  City of Hampton

  • Hampton police identified 73-year-old Joseph Hickman as the homicide victim found on Azalea Drive on April 25 at about 5:45 p.m.—injuries consistent with trauma led officers to classify the death as a homicide.  13 News Now

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Pentagon officials reported last month that U.S. Northern Command updated its drone procedures after a December 2023 swarm over Joint Base Langley—Eustis marked the largest incursion tracked so far. The change comes as military and local agencies work together to improve detection systems—steps that will allow bases to counter suspicious drone activity in the future.  WHRO Public Media
