  • Today at 9:00 p.m., WHRO-FM will air 'A Local Touch – Music with a Virginia Connection' to celebrate composer Adolphus Hailstork’s milestone birthday with host Raymond Jones and conductor JoAnn Falletta ahead of the Virginia Symphony concert at NSU.   • WHRO-FM 90.3 will air Tchaikovsky’s opera Eugene Onegin live from the Metropolitan Opera this Saturday at 1 p.m. The production stars Iurii Samoilov and Asmik Grigorian and is available online.  WHRO Public Media
  • Nedra Ross, a Chesapeake resident and founding member of the Ronettes, died Sunday at her home at age 80. A memorial service is being planned as her family honors the legacy of her 1960s rock influence.  WHRO Public Media

  • Green Run Collegiate students took part in a simulation last month where they represented EU nations in debates on affordable housing and defense.
