- ➤ A person was hurt following a shooting in the 1000 block of Topping Lane near the intersection of Big Bethel Road — Todds Lane on Tuesday afternoon and was taken to the hospital while police are investigating the incident. WTKR
- ➤ A former Hampton Sheriff's Office lieutenant and her husband were sentenced last Friday on dogfighting charges; Michael Johnson received one year in prison—followed by five years of probation, a $10,000 fine and a ban on owning animals—and Carolyn Johnson was given probation after a July 2023 case found pit bulls living in poor conditions at their Ireland Street home.
