- ➤ A man suffered multiple gunshot wounds in a suspected drive-by shooting early Wednesday morning near the 2000 block of Cunningham Drive—police said he was found on the 1000 block of West Mercury Boulevard and taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. WTKR
- ➤ A man was shot in a drive-by shooting early Wednesday on the 2000 block of Enfield Drive in Hampton when someone fired at his car shortly after 1:30 a.m.—police took him to the hospital while detectives looked into the incident. 13 News Now
- ➤ A person was detained after a reported road rage incident in York County when a male was shot in the Piccadilly Loop area (Grafton neighborhood) just after 2 p.m. on April 9; the injured man was taken to the hospital. WTKR

- ➤ The Virginia Living Museum received a $99,947 grant from The Blocker Foundation to launch an immersive wildlife education initiative at its new Wild Care Center — a program that will offer hands-on STEM lessons to underserved students.
